The Process Is So Worth It:
The process of ever becoming who God created you to be is necessary when you want to live a life of purpose. To me this looks like a life that impacts others in a positive way. A life where you are able to touch the hearts of others. A life where you enjoy being of service and helping others. I for one, do. Therefore, I’m embracing this part of my journey.
When we venture through life it can be easy to mindlessly go day to day…just going through the motions. It’s not until you embrace your purpose that you begin to actively process daily what you want and of course sometimes we want it to happen with the quickness. Am I right? I mean it sounds like human nature after all.
Great things take time. Starting at the beginning is actually the best place to start.
Take a look at the word APPRECIATE. It means to gain value with time. Depending on its context, the word can mean other things as well – regardless, the meaning is still valid as it pertains to any individual on a mission for better…for greater. With that said, I believe that if we don’t start at the bottom and work our way up and out then we won’t value and appreciate how far we’ve come. Anyone can have success fall into their lap in various forms. That same success could flee just as quickly as it came when there is no weight added to it; and by that I mean the struggle of the genuine pursuit of gaining something, the struggle of trying and failing, but trying again and being persistent. Living your purpose & attaining success is a process of it’s own complete with growing pains AND wisdom.
The process builds character.
Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy
It takes courage to beleive in yourself and it takes preserverance to see your goals actually come to life. This sounds cliche, but if it was easy everyone would do it. Everyone would be out here living their purpose effortlessly. Everyone would be incredibly happy and the world would essentially the way that God had intended. The reality is that there are obstacles that present themselves when we’re moving in the right direction. This is where your Faith and Trust in God are crucial and key factors to actively living your purpose.
Having a continual worship & prayer life will prove to be effective.
I’ll wrap this up by emphasizing the fact that being a beginner at something that you love to do anyway will ultimately be a beautiful thing. You’ll experience the learning pressures of becoming great. You’ll stumble, maybe even fall…but you will continue because you want your story to be one of triumph. You will be proud of yourself and you’ll possibly inspire others.
Having a mentor during this phase of my life is quite invaluable. I feel blessed that someone cares enough to share their knowledge and wisdom with me. It is helping me to grow in ways that I couldn’t have even imagined.
